Main now gives every project its own main agent. Coaching stays with the
user's personal agent, the main bot of the home space: only it gets the
goal, habit, check-in, brief and nudge tools, the coach summary and the
open-onboarding note, and the tools refuse a project's main bot too. The
onboarding questions start with the personal agent only. A project the
scan creates gets its main agent like any other, and the inbox lists asks
from another space's main conversation.

* chore: remove legacy orchestrator, trading and one-off script leftovers
The repository still carried the pre-evOo prototype: a Python orchestrator,
the old HTML "evoo-platform" cockpit (whose test ran in the root unit
suite), an apex-trading package, the hot-reload deploy.sh for it, a
permissions manifest, an architecture note with local file links, agent
handoff notes, a Steve Jobs persona template and about ninety one-off
scripts that probe a developer database with hard-coded local URLs. None
of it is used by the product, CI or the real deploy in ops/evo-deploy.
Delete those files, drop the evoo-platform test glob from the root vitest
config, the Cockpit section from .env.example and the dead biome and
gitignore entries, and update the docs that listed the removed tools.
scripts/start-tmux.sh no longer starts the removed sentinel and resolves
the checkout from its own location instead of a machine-specific path;
scripts/seed-ollama.ts requires DATABASE_URL instead of falling back to a
local URL with a username.

* fix(web): drop trading and persona prompts from the conversation shell
The web shell still showed leftovers from the trading prototype: composer
chips with German trading and "Steve Jobs" prompts, trading suggestion
chips under the empty conversation line, a German trading hero for the
empty transcript, and a German "data protection" status panel in the
sidebar. They suggested actions the product does not have and added
persistent chrome.
Remove the composer chips and their helper, the empty-state chips and the
hero (the empty conversation keeps its existing one-line start hint), the
sidebar trading indicator and the data trust panel. The new-bot E2E now
asserts the plain empty state; the sidebar spec no longer expects the
trading status, and the placeholder Steve Jobs spec with no assertions is
gone.

* refactor: remove the trading bot status integration
With the sidebar trading indicator gone, the only remaining consumer of
the trading bot status was a banner in General settings that reused the
same component. evOo is a personal assistant; a status proxy and poller
for one external trading service, configured through service-specific
TRADING_BOT_URL and VITE_TRADING_BOT_URL variables, does not belong in
the core product.
Remove the settings banner and its prop plumbing, the web poller, the
indicator component, the /api/trading-bot/status proxy, the shared core
contract, the env loading and both variables from .env.example, together
with their tests.

* chore: remove one-off database scripts and a stale review note
packages/db carried four hand-run scripts outside the package build that
query or seed a developer database with a hard-coded connection string,
one of them for a specific account. docs/VOICE-FIRST-REVIEW.md was a
one-time verification note for a workflow that no longer exists and
named private machines and local paths. Nothing references them.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MRtGG9ARfqqhma3t85Ro2u
* chore: replace machine-specific paths and addresses with placeholders
ORIGIN.md pinned the intended checkout to an absolute path under a
personal home directory, docs/LOCAL-SETUP.md listed folders on one
developer's machine, and two tests used what looks like a real tailnet
address. Use a home-relative path, drop the machine-specific folder list,
and use 100.100.100.100 in the tests; it is still inside 100.64.0.0/10,
so both tests check the same thing as before.

own. The user talks to it, and it delegates to the project's specialists.
Creating a project sets both up and opens the conversation, and deleting
an otherwise empty project removes them with it.

The live screen opens wide beside the chat while the bot works on it or asks
for a takeover, a file the bot presents as its result opens next to the
conversation, and a question that scrolled away gets a "Needs you" pill back
to it. Shared core rules derive the focus from signals clients already have
(pointer events, takeover requests, a new `present` flag on attach_file,
pending asks), move the pane only on focus edges, never replace a pane the
user opened, and learn per bot whether the screen opens on its own. Pane
widths persist per device; mobile shows a pill that opens the computer.

Bots now announce every click and typing step before it runs, and the
web app draws a cursor in the bot's colour that glides to that point
over the live computer screen, ripples on clicks and shows typing.
- contracts: ComputerPointerPayload on the existing thread.computer event
- executor: computer_act and browser_act announce pointer steps
(best effort); the page-browser helper reports element screen boxes,
which are stripped before results reach the model
- web: agentPointerFeed + AgentCursor over the side-panel preview and

spaces.create linked any workspacePath to the new project, and
computer.files and computer.readFile then listed and read files under
that folder for anyone in the space. On a deployment with signups, any
member could link / or the API's own checkout and read whatever the API
process can read, such as its .env file. Linking also ran git in the
chosen folder and stored its remote URL.
A linked folder lives on the host, and the host is the deployment
owner's machine, the rule the onboarding scan already follows:
- spaces.create refuses a folder from anyone but the deployment owner,
before the space is created or the folder is touched.
- Project files are listed and read only for the deployment owner, so a
space a member linked before this change stays closed too. Space
navigation no longer shows a linked folder's path and git remote to
other members.
- A linked folder is stored as its real path, and listing and reading
follow symlinks only while they stay inside it. Symlinks that leave
the folder or lead nowhere are left out of a listing instead of
failing it.
- The web New project dialog offers the folder field only to the
deployment owner.

Secondary shell text was muted text dimmed further with opacity: the
section labels, the projects caption, the sidebar "+" icons, the privacy
panel, the trading subtitle and the Heute brief's Mission Control link.
Muted text measures 4.4:1 on the light sidebar, so these fell to 1.9 to
3.4:1 in the light theme; a few were below 4.5:1 in dark as well.
- Secondary sidebar text and icons share `rk-sidebar-muted`, the sidebar
foreground at 65% that row times already used (5.0:1 on the light
sidebar). Row times now use the class too.
- Section labels and space or project group titles use the dimmed
foreground in light and keep the 80% muted color in dark; group titles
move up from 60%, which was 3.4:1 in dark.
- The privacy panel heading is plain text with a success-colored check
instead of emerald text, and its details pass 4.5:1 in both themes.
- Needs-you chips keep the warning tint and border; their label uses the
foreground color in light.
- The Mission Control link uses the full muted color.
- E2E: the shell test checks every text in the sidebar except the logo,
and the Heute brief, in both themes, and captures
`shell-contrast-{light,dark}-heute`.
- AGENTS.md: agents make routine calls themselves, verify the result and
report it, and ask only before irreversible actions or for product
decisions without a sensible default.

The onboarding cards, the closing line and the coach routine names were English server text
for every user. The server keeps the state and an English fallback; the web now words them
through Lingui, so there is one translation source.
- Choice cards: the web says the question, the option labels and the placeholder from the
step and option ids, and keeps the server text for anything it does not know (quiet-hour
ranges are already written in the user's locale). Another bot's focus card is recognized
by its option ids. Mobile and agent history keep the server text.
- The "Got it. … are a good place to start." line is gone: the app cards speak for
themselves, and with no cards nothing is said.
- The closing line becomes an intake_note block (note "done", nextCheckInAt, English text).
The web words it with the first check-in in the user's clock; mobile blockText and
blocksToAgentHistoryText read its text through their generic fallback.
- Routines carry coachKey. The routine list and editor show a check-in under its label in
the UI language until the user renames it; saving an untouched label keeps the stored
name. The English names move to contracts (COACH_ROUTINE_NAMES); prompts stay English.

- onboarding-intake.spec walks focus, goal (after typing into the composer, which still
works), check-ins, quiet hours and the notifications card when the browser offers it,
with the onboarding-intake-goal, -rhythm and -done screenshots.
- completeOnboarding and the wizard specs drop the preferences step; the scan step is
optional (skipped when it asks, otherwise it advances by itself).
- The user-profile spec now checks the browser-filled profile and the focus fact; the
conversation spec checks the shorter app suggestion and the following goal question.
- The hover spec measures a reply that fills its row (a bot row's rail sits at the row's
end, so the old long onboarding line was what made it pass) and scopes Send to the
composer, since an open goal card has its own.
- Mobile shows a choice card as its question and answer instead of an empty bubble.
- The focus options drop their unused summary.

Heute only listed runs and linked to a hard-coded local Mission Control
address, so the coach's work had nowhere to show.
- Today's brief at the top, habits with a check-off and their streak,
and active goals, each only when there is something to show; then the
existing needs-you, doing and done lists.
- One icon button opens the check-in times (morning, evening, weekly),
loaded when opened and saved on every change.
- The page reads coach.today, refreshes it when a run finishes or the
tab becomes visible, and checks habits off optimistically; the date
header uses the user's time zone from the profile.
- Removes the Mission Control link and its constant.
- Tests: helper unit tests and a web E2E that writes the brief through
the main bot, checks a habit off across a reload and sets check-in
times (screenshots heute-coach and heute-rhythm).

The onboarding scan started on its own, discarded what it found, claimed
to read email and calendars, simulated progress for everyone who could
not scan, and its project creation always failed (wrong Space fields and
a space lookup by title across tenants).
Discovery now asks first and creates nothing without a choice:
- The scan step appears only for the deployment owner when
ONBOARDING_SCAN_HOME is set; everyone else skips it. The simulated
scan is gone.
- It shows the folder and asks. Only directory listings are read: git
projects up to four levels deep, their languages and a few tools
(Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform). Symlinks are never followed and
each chosen folder is resolved again before use, so nothing outside
the folder is reached. Results stay with the account that scanned.
- Found projects are a checklist (none preselected); found languages and
tools are facts (preselected). "Add" creates one project space per
chosen project with createSpaceForMember and wireProjectWorkspace in
the user's own organization, reusing the user's own space already
linked to that folder, and saves the chosen facts as onboarding facts
under the profile lock and fact limit.
- When a connection becomes connected (direct connect, authorization
round trip, or catalog reconciliation), "Uses <App>" is remembered as
a tools fact from the connector. Revoking keeps it.
The E2E harness now points ONBOARDING_SCAN_HOME at a fixture folder and
starts without a deployment owner, so owner-only onboarding steps appear
only in specs that take the seat through /__e2e/deployment-owner.

The payload, target and outcome types are shared by the Expo and web push senders, so they now
live with PushSender in push-notifications.ts instead of in the web push adapter. The settings
E2E also stubs the Notification permission (headless Chromium reports it as denied even when
granted), and the quiet-hours inputs are wide enough for 12-hour times.

Users had no way to turn on push for a browser, set quiet hours or opt out of nudges.
Settings gains a compact Notifications section: a switch for push on this device (only where
web push works: a secure context outside the desktop app), quiet hours with from/to times
(22:00-07:00 when first turned on) and a switch for nudges. Changes save in order as they are
made. A browser that blocked notifications says so instead of offering a dead switch. Logging
out unregisters the browser first, so a shared computer stops receiving the account's pushes.
The E2E stubs the Push API (headless Chromium has no push service), walks all three controls,
checks they survive a reload and captures the notification-settings screenshot.

The composer, the shell frame and sidebar, the right side panel and the
create-bot modal were hard-coded dark while the text on them follows the
theme, so in the light theme the typed draft, the sidebar rows and the
side panel forms rendered dark on dark.
- Composer: the island uses the card and foreground tokens; attach, stop
and chips use border and foreground tokens, and send is the default
primary button. The focus and shadow utilities on the bar are removed:
.apple-island always overrode them, so they never rendered.
- Shell frame and page background use the background token. The frame's
radial gradient never rendered under Tailwind v4 and is dropped.
- Sidebar: the panel uses the sidebar tokens on desktop too. The main
conversation, roster, project and Heute rows share one token-based
row style; muted text measures 4.4:1 on the light sidebar, so row
times use a dimmed foreground instead.
- Side panel and create-bot modal use background, popover and overlay
tokens. Settings helper texts and inactive tabs use the full muted
color, which stays above 4.5:1 in light.
- Stage vignette, stage pill, ensemble and hero orb, and the transcript
paths behind the call overlay use tokens.
- E2E: chat-contrast.spec.ts gains a shell test that measures the
composer draft, sidebar rows, the new bot form and the bot settings
form in both themes and captures screenshots.

The inbox in the main conversation only showed asks, approvals, takeovers and
unread threads of the current space. The main conversation lives in the home
space, so anything a bot needed in a project space never reached it.
- inbox.list now covers every space the user belongs to (except spaces being
deleted), still only the user's own bots, runs and threads. Items from
another space carry that space's id and name.
- The web inbox shows the space name next to the bot for those items, answers
them with that space's header so the existing thread procedures check
membership and ownership for that space, and opens their thread in it.

About you could only confirm or delete what the bots know about the user, so a
fact that was slightly wrong or filed under the wrong category had to be
deleted and taught again, and a fact could not be limited to some spaces from
the app even though the profile supports it.
- Each fact gets an Edit button that turns its row into an inline editor:
wording, category, and (when the user has more than one space, or the fact
is already limited) which spaces it shows in. Escape or Cancel leaves it
unchanged; only changed fields are sent through profile.update editFacts.
- A limited fact names its spaces next to its source.
- The repository validates edits like new facts: a wording whose normalized
form is empty or equals another fact of the user is refused, all edits of
one update apply atomically, and the stored embedding is only dropped when
the wording really changes.

Several web surfaces hard-coded German (the project card, roster and
activity status labels, the sidebar "Heute" label) or used German text as
the Lingui source message (sidebar sections, project timeline, bot picker,
voice entry, group stage, copy and read-aloud buttons). English users saw
German, and because production builds keep only message ids, none of these
strings could be translated per locale.
Convert them to English source messages, keeping the meaning:
- ProjectCreatedCard: Lingui Trans/Plural instead of literals.
- agent-activity: labels go through i18n._ with literal ids so the module
stays importable from plain unit tests; the extractor still collects them.
- Shell, ProjectSessionTimeline, bot-picker, StageVoiceEntry, OoStage:
English sources, reusing existing messages where one already fit
("just now", "{n}m ago", "Search", "No bots match", "Set up voice",
"Group conversation", "Transcript").
- The conversation picker matches its create entry against the translated
label instead of a fixed German string.
The German wording returns through the de catalog in the next commit.
Unit and E2E tests now assert the English labels.

The remember tool rewrote the bot's whole MEMORY.md with each call, so every
new fact erased the earlier ones unless the model re-sent the full document.
- MemoryCommitRequest gains mode "append" (the store joins the note onto the
current content inside the same serializable transaction and still writes a
revision row) and every commit is capped at 16 KB per document.
- remember appends a dated bullet ("- YYYY-MM-DD: ...", the user's local date)
by default and rewrites only with mode "replace"; a full document returns an
error that tells the bot to condense it. Retries of the same tool call stay
single appends through the existing effect record.
- Scripted runtime memory entries can append too; the scripted "remember"
script now appends instead of overwriting the bot's memory.
- When memory does not fit the run's 32 KB budget, the prompt keeps a
document's newest lines instead of its oldest.
- memory.update maps an oversized save to BAD_REQUEST.
- docs/PRODUCT.md records that UserFact is the cross-space user model and the
space MEMORY.md stays space notes (no migration).

Chat markdown hard-coded a near-white text color, so on light surfaces
(ask cards, delegated task briefs, peer and file previews) the text was
white on white. The desktop conversation panel and the bubble and glass
surfaces were hard-coded dark while the text on them follows the theme,
so in the light theme the user's own messages rendered as empty pills.
- Chat markdown uses the foreground token; heading, code and quote colors
come from the shared @rakazo/chat-ui markdown styles instead of
white/emerald overrides. Quotes read in the body color, as on mobile,
so they stay legible in the dimmed transcript.
- User bubbles use the chat-user tokens; bubble and glass card surfaces use
card and border tokens.
- The conversation panel uses the background token on desktop too, as it
already did on mobile. Bot reply footers, summary cards, quick prompt
chips, the awareness strip and the chart expand button drop hard-coded
white/zinc/emerald classes that would vanish on that panel.
- New web E2E measures the contrast of the user's messages, a markdown bot
reply, a delegated brief and an ask card in a group transcript in both
themes and captures screenshots.

* feat(db): main agent, main conversation, user model and delegated task foundation
The product needs one main agent that leads a main conversation, knows the
user across spaces, and hands work to visible specialists. Today none of
that exists in the data model: "Chief" is a client-side naming convention,
the "Hauptthread" is a group the web client creates by name, and nothing
stores what the agents know about the user.
This adds the shared foundation the Phase 1 features build on:
- Bot.kind ("main" | "specialist", one main bot per user) plus capability
fields (tags, builtin tool allowlist, model tier).
- ChatGroup.kind ("group" | "main", one main conversation per user) and
ChatGroup.leadBotId.
- UserProfile and UserFact with category, confidence, source, consent
status and per-space visibility; embeddings are stored as float arrays
because none of the Postgres images ship pgvector.
- DelegatedTask for work the main bot hands to a specialist.
- SpaceModelTier to map a model tier to a connected model per space.
The migration backfills each user's onboarding bot in the home space as the
main bot and turns an existing "Hauptthread" group containing it into the
main conversation. CHECK and foreign key constraints on existing tables are
added NOT VALID and validated in a separate migration, as elsewhere in this
repo.
New db helpers ensure the main bot and the main conversation (idempotent and
race-safe, repairing a lost lead), add same-space specialists to the main
conversation and announce it with a group.updated event, and load the user
context a run may see. The main conversation is exempt from the two-member
floor and cannot have its members replaced through a group update. The
contracts expose the new fields and the user model and delegated task
schemas.

* feat(adapters): every run knows who it is and who the user is, in the user's time zone
Runs dropped the bot's name, title and description whenever custom
instructions existed, always stated the time in UTC, and knew the user only
through free-form durable memory. Groups with a lead, like the main
conversation, still got the peer-group lines that forbid handing work back.
And every group follow-up run failed during setup: the inbound handoff lookup
selected a `bot` relation that Message does not have, which Prisma rejects.
- Instructions now open with the bot's identity, then its own instructions,
a main-agent role paragraph for the main bot, the current time in the
user's time zone with its offset (UTC when unknown), and a `<user>` block
built from loadUserContext: profile fields and the active facts visible in
the run's space, escaped, clipped and framed as data rather than
instructions. Runs that reply in a shared messaging channel get only the
name, zone, locale, language and style, matching how those runs already
leave out durable memory.
- run_subagent helpers receive the identity, time and user block through a
new optional AgentRunRequest.subagentContext instead of nothing.
- Groups with an active lead get lead and specialist lines and matching
inbound handoff instructions. Members may hand a stage back to the lead and
the lead may delegate the next stage; the bounce rules still apply between
members. Ordinary groups keep today's lines.
- The teammate directory is rendered only when the run has message_bot, which
group runs never have, and tool guidance names a tool only when the run has
it.
- The auto-review judge, history compaction and the team chat judge read the
time in the user's zone, and schedule_create defaults to it.
- The inbound handoff sender is read from the handoff block and looked up
among the user's bots; a Postgres test covers the follow-up run, the prompt
it receives, and handing the result back to the lead.

* feat(memory): learn the user profile from conversations; add built-in semantic memory
Why: the user profile only knew what onboarding wrote, so people had to repeat themselves,
and semantic recall needed a hosted or separately run memory service. The profile now grows
from everyday conversations, and recall can run on the user's own server with a local
embeddings endpoint (for example llama.cpp). Both stay optional and are tested offline.
What:
- adapter-kit: EmbeddingProvider contract (describe, embed) and the profile.consolidate job
(payload schema and a replace-keyed job factory, one pending job per user).
- adapters: OpenAI-compatible embeddings (POST {baseUrl}/embeddings through the guarded
OpenAI-compatible fetch, batching, bounded responses, clear errors), a deterministic
emulator, an in-process /v1/embeddings server emulator, and a shared conformance suite.
- adapters: "builtin" semantic memory stored in Postgres (semantic_memory_items with Float[]
embeddings, cosine ranking in process, bot/shared/history scopes matching the existing
providers), registered in the memory provider factory and configured through
memory.connectProvider with an embeddings URL, model and optional API key. Private
endpoints require the deployment owner, like the other local memory providers.
- adapters: profile consolidation reads the user's settled app conversations since
UserProfile.consolidatedAt (never messaging channels), asks the main bot's model for strict
JSON facts and an updated summary, drops restatements (embedding cosine when built-in
memory is configured, normalized text otherwise), stores sensitive categories as pending,
and advances the cursor with a compare-and-set. A reconciler hook enqueues it at most daily
per active user; it skips under the scripted runtime and without a usable model.
- db: additive migration 20261002210400_ws4_semantic_memory.
- web: a "Built-in" option in Memory settings; AI data sharing names the embeddings server.
Tests: new embedding conformance, OpenAI-compatible wire, built-in provider and consolidation
unit tests; new Postgres suites for built-in memory (including a real loopback embeddings
server through the memory provider resolver) and for consolidation and its scheduling query,
both added to the integration harness. The settings E2E spec now opens the new form.

* feat(models): map model tiers per space and let bots and helpers ask for one
A space can now map the tiers fast, standard and code to connected models,
including several models served by one OpenAI-compatible router endpoint
(one credential, many model ids). A bot can ask for a tier, and a single
run_subagent call can ask for one. A tier with no model mapped falls back
to the usual model choice, so nothing breaks before tiers are set up.
- db: SpaceModelTier repo (list, find, set or clear); tier mappings are
copied into a new space like model and voice preferences; createBot
carries a tier, so duplicates keep it and spawned bots inherit it.
- contracts/api: models.tiers.list and models.tiers.set;
models.probeOpenAiCompatible can list a connected server's models by
credential id with its stored address and key; bots.update accepts
modelTier and keeps a pinned model and a tier mutually exclusive, so a
model picked on a surface that knows no tiers (mobile) is never silently
overridden. Thinking-level validation follows the tier's model. AI
consent status discloses tier models; desktop local settings allow the
tier procedures.
- adapters: selectConfiguredModel runs a mapped tier ahead of the pinned
model and the space default; the executor resolves bot tiers for runs
and model lookups, and helper tiers through resolveModelTier.
run_subagent takes model_tier; an explicit model wins over it.
- web: a collapsed Tiers section in model settings (shown once a model is
connected) and mapped tiers as choices in the bot Model select.
- docs: tiers in self-host model setup.
- tests: resolution order and fallbacks (selection, executor, Pi helper),
repo, API and contract units, authorization and offline Pi Postgres
suites, and a model-tiers web E2E spec.

* fix(adapters): state the consolidation time in the user's zone; name the memory migration after its content
Profile consolidation now passes the profile's time zone to the shared time
instruction, which takes the zone since every run states the time in the
user's zone. The semantic memory migration is renamed after what it creates.

* fix(adapters): keep the user's summary and facts out of replies to other owners' agents
An agent connection wakes a bot with another owner's message, and the reply
goes back to that owner. Such runs now get only the basics of the user block
(name, time zone, locale, language, style), like runs in shared messaging
channels, so confirmed facts such as health never reach another person's
agent.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MRtGG9ARfqqhma3t85Ro2u
* feat(profile): readable, writable and forgettable user model
The main agent is meant to know the user, but nothing could read or change
the user model the foundation added. Onboarding pasted the user's answers
into the first bot's instructions as a "User Context" block, and the user
had no way to see or remove what their bots knew about them.
This makes the user model a user-controlled resource:
- db: a profile repository scoped by user. One atomic update writes the
account name, profile fields, new facts (deduplicated by normalized
text, capped per user), fact edits including per-space visibility, and
confirmations. Health and values facts wait for confirmation unless the
user wrote them. Forgetting hard-deletes facts by id, category or all,
clears the summary that may restate them and marks earlier chats as
consolidated so they cannot teach them again; forgetting everything also
clears the profile fields. Writes take a per-user advisory lock.
- api/contracts: profile.get, profile.update and profile.forget. Unknown
fact ids are a 404 on update and ignored on forget; spaces outside the
user's memberships are rejected.
- adapters: an update_user_profile tool for the main bot only, hidden from
specialists and shared messaging channels and refused if called anyway.
Facts carry source "conversation" and the bot, thread and message they
came from. The scripted runtime records "learn about me: [category:]
statement" for tests.
- web: onboarding writes the name, time zone (browser default, now
prefilled and editable), locale, chosen language, communication style
and the hobby and work-style answers to the profile instead of
overwriting the bot's instructions, and the harvested memory section no
longer repeats them. A new "About you" settings section lists profile
fields and facts by category with their origin, confirms pending facts,
and forgets one fact or everything.
Tests cover the contracts, the repository (unit and PostgreSQL), tool
selection and refusal, the scripted trigger, the onboarding mapping and
view helpers, an API suite that runs the tool through the executor with a
real main bot, authorization for the new procedures, and an E2E spec.

* feat(delegation): main bot hands work to specialists as tracked tasks
The main agent had no way to give a specialist a piece of work and keep
track of it. message_bot is a fire-and-forget peer message whose work stays
hidden from the user, and handoff_to_bot ends the main bot's turn and only
works between members of one group. Delegation now runs the specialist's
work where the user follows the main agent and brings the result back so
the main agent can close the task.
- delegate_task({bot, title, brief, deadline?}) is offered to the main bot
only and refused unless the caller leads the main conversation. It
resolves the specialist by id or name across the user's spaces, creates a
DelegatedTask and posts a task card in the main conversation.
- A specialist from the main conversation's space joins it and works there
in a run with the new trigger "delegation", which the peer filters do not
hide, so its progress, asks and approvals appear in the main conversation
with the specialist as sender. A specialist from another space works in
its own chat; its written result is posted into the main conversation as
its message.
- The executor mirrors the run on its task (running, waiting, done, failed,
cancelled) after the run starts and when each attempt ends, and updates
the card in place through thread.message.updated. Done and failed tasks
wake the main bot in the main conversation with the result. The job
reconciler settles tasks whose run ended without the executor (stop,
clear, archive, deletion, crash).
- tasks.list({threadId?, status?}) returns the caller's tasks for the
current space.
- The task card shows who, what and status with Lingui labels; the brief
opens on demand. The message_bot card no longer shows the recipient's
unrelated overall status or hard-coded German copy.
- The scripted runtime understands "delegate to the bot named X: ..." and
the task wake prompt; activity rows name delegation runs by task title.
Tests: unit tests for the prompts, status mapping, card, reducer, tool
selection and scripted runtime; a Postgres suite for same-space, group,
other-space, ask and answer, failure, stop and replay; tasks.list in the
authorization suite; and an end-to-end spec for the whole flow.

* fix(adapters): show the main agent the specialists it can delegate to
The main conversation is a group run, and group runs no longer list the
teammate directory, so the main agent could not see the names of the
specialists delegate_task expects. Runs that have delegate_task now list
the user's specialists across the spaces they belong to, those next to the
conversation first and others marked with their space, and that list
replaces the teammate directory so no bot appears twice. It also says when
to prefer delegate_task over handoff_to_bot.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MRtGG9ARfqqhma3t85Ro2u
* feat(inbox): show what specialists need from the user in the main conversation
Specialists ask questions, request approvals and the computer screen in
their own threads, and the user only finds out by opening each thread. With
the main conversation as the single entry point, those requests have to
reach the user there, with the specialist as the visible sender.
- inbox.list returns, for the current space and the user's own bots, pending
asks and approvals (bot messages with a pending ask block whose run waits
for input), takeover requests, and unread specialist threads. Asks already
in the main conversation are left out; takeovers stay because their
controls live in the bot's own thread. Each item carries the bot, the
thread target, run and message ids, and the ask block for asks and
approvals.
- The main conversation shows the items above the composer. Asks and
approvals are answered in place through threads.answer with the source
thread target; takeovers and unread threads open the bot's thread. The
list refreshes when the bots' status, unread state or newest message
changes, every 15 seconds, and after an answer.
- The inbox shrinks and scrolls so it never pushes the composer out of view.
The transcript now clips its scroller: with no room left in the column,
the scroller's padding used to spill over whatever sat below it.
- The ask block schema is extracted from MessageBlock so the inbox contract
reuses it, and AskCard accepts a className.
Tests: unit tests for the item builder and the component, a Postgres suite
for the query (added to the harness list), inbox cases in the authorization
suite, and an E2E spec in which a specialist asks in its own thread and the
user answers from the main conversation.

* fix(adapters): write learned facts under the profile's lock and limit
Profile consolidation wrote facts beside the user profile repository: without
its per-user lock, its duplicate check at write time, or its limit of 500
facts. A long-running profile could grow past the limit and then refuse the
user's own additions. Consolidation now takes the same lock, drops facts the
profile gained since the run read it, and keeps only what still fits.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MRtGG9ARfqqhma3t85Ro2u
* fix(adapters): keep profile writes out of replies to other owners' agents
A run woken over an agent connection hears another owner's bot, not the
user, so update_user_profile is withheld there: nothing such a conversation
says can become a fact about the user. Detection moves ahead of tool
selection; the reduced user block uses the same flag.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MRtGG9ARfqqhma3t85Ro2u
* feat(capabilities): least-privilege builtin tools per bot and schedules on behalf
Every bot saw every builtin tool, and nothing outside the runtime's own
declaration kept a run to the tools it was given: the executor ran any tool a
runtime asked for, and the Pi runtime exposed all builtins whenever a caller
passed an empty tool list, which the safety checker, the history summarizer
and the team chat judge do on purpose. A specialist could not be kept to the
tools of its lane, bots had no capability tags, and the main bot could only
schedule routines for itself.
- A bot can carry a builtin tool allowlist. Its runs see only the allowlisted
builtins, and an empty allowlist means none. MAIN_ONLY_BUILTIN_TOOLS (empty
until the user profile and delegation tools land) never reach other bots.
applyTool refuses any tool the run did not expose, and an empty tool list
now means no tools for the Pi runtime and its subagents.
- A bot spawned by a restricted bot inherits the restriction and a duplicate
keeps it, so neither path widens a bot's tools.
- bots.create and bots.update accept tags, restrictBuiltinTools and
allowedBuiltinTools; the router rejects names that are not builtin tools.
bots.builtinTools lists the names a bot's allowlist can use.
- Bot settings get a Tags field and a switch with a tool checklist under
Advanced.
- The main bot's schedule_create takes an optional bot: one of the user's
bots in any space the user still belongs to. The routine belongs to that
bot in its space and wakes in the main conversation when the bot is a
member there, otherwise in its 1:1 thread. Routines record the bot that
scheduled them (additive migration), so schedule_list and schedule_cancel
also cover exactly the routines a bot scheduled for others. Cancelling by
a name that matches several routines is refused.
Tested with unit tests for the per-bot filter, the applyTool guard, the empty
tool list, and on-behalf resolution, creation, listing and cancelling; with
Postgres journeys for on-behalf routines waking across spaces and in the main
conversation and for allowlist enforcement through the scripted runtime; and
with a web E2E for the settings section.

* test(adapters): give the consolidation unit tests the profile lock

* feat(adapters): run profile consolidation on the fast tier when one is mapped
Fact extraction is short structured work, so consolidation asks the model
resolver for the fast tier. The resolver takes a per-call tier and, when the
space has not mapped it, keeps the bot's own tier or model as before.

* feat: land in the main conversation, led by the main bot
After onboarding the user ended up in a 1:1 chat with "Chief", and the
"Hauptthread" was a group the web client created and found by name. The
main bot had no conversation it actually led, and addressing another bot
there did nothing unless the user had added it as a member first.
Now the main conversation is a real place:
- bots.ensureMain creates or returns the main bot. Bootstrap and space
navigation return `main` ({ botId, groupId, spaceId }) once the main
bot exists; reading navigation never creates a bot.
- The main bot leads the main conversation and answers when nobody is
addressed: message routing, follow-ups, reactions and clearing the
thread fall back to the group's lead instead of its first member.
- Addressing a same-space bot that is not a member yet, by @Name or a
mention chip, makes it join before the message is routed, so it
answers in the conversation. Specialists from other spaces do not join.
- The main bot cannot be archived or deleted, the main conversation
cannot be archived or deleted or have its members edited, and child
bots never dissolve it. Renaming the main bot renames the conversation.
- Web: onboarding uses bots.ensureMain and finishes in the main
conversation. The main conversation is the first sidebar entry in every
space, shown with the main bot's avatar and name; from another space it
switches back to the home space. The main bot is not listed again among
the bots, its 1:1 thread stays reachable by URL. The client no longer
creates or detects the "Hauptthread" by name, refetches a group when it
changes, and shows the speaker of any of the user's bots in a group.
- Onboarding no longer resets the step when its bootstrap resolves after
the user has already moved on, and new spaces open in the app instead
of walking onboarding again.
Tests: group mention routing with a default responder, lead follow-ups,
child-bot guards, a journey for the main conversation (lead answers,
addressed bot joins, guards, rename), authorization for bots.ensureMain,
and an E2E spec that lands in the main conversation, gets an answer from
the lead, sees an addressed bot join, and reaches the conversation from
another space. Existing E2E specs start in the main bot's thread through
a helper or use the main conversation where that is what they test.
